update

Let's see if I can give you a quick updare. From Bryce Canyon I backtracked to Cannonville and headed from there on the Cottonwood road through more of the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument down to highway 89. I ended up at the Paria outpost for two days, eventually catching a lift from Tony, a BML ranger and a good friend of Rick Kerr, my across the road neighbor in Polebridge, just by coincidence, to Kanab. After a night in town I rode in very light snow flurries all the next day up to just east of Zion followed by the coldest night yet; my water froze almost solid.
The next day was amazing, gorgeous downhill ride into Zion Canyon. From here I took a shortcut across gooseneck mesa to HWY 389 and into Arizona to travel the Arizona Strip. HWY 89A took me up to Jacobs Lake from where I had the most amazing downhill ride yet in my career: down to the Cliff Dwellers! Phenomenal!
As it happens Tim who lives in the rock house off House Rock Road hired me off the bike to help feed the Grand Canyon Guide Annual Seminar, over 200 great folks! Considering my heritage I ended up doing the bratwursts on the barbie. Great food for a bike tourist and a great party that followed. To top it all of I went for a dip in the mighty Colorado and was blessed to see 7 condors ride the thermals over marble canyon. And now I'm in Injun country! Got to love it!
